Meet Your Specialist
Monique Johnson, owner and operator of Light Work Aesthetics has a passion for helping her clients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Originally from New Jersey, she moved around a lot with her mom before settling down. Monique studied cosmetology in high school and became a licensed cosmetologist. While she enjoyed the work, she pursued a higher calling.
In 2011, Monique Johnson moved to Florida with her 6-year-old and pursued a career in nursing, earning her LPN in 2016. While working in a memory care unit, her interest in mental health grew, leading her to continue her education and earn her RN degree in 2023. She has been working in the field of mental health for nearly two years and loves it.
Monique’s passion for glam and beauty never faded. When she discovered stretch mark removal and lip blushing, she found the perfect opportunity to blend her nursing skills with her love for beauty. At Light Work Aesthetics, she is dedicated to helping clients feel more confident in their skin by transforming insecurities into confidence.
Outside of work, Monique enjoys spending time with her two children, Jayda and Daxton. She loves Asian cuisine, sci-fi thrillers, comedy, and drama movies, especially those by M. Night Shyamalan. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, and shopping. Monique is also continuing her education to become a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner.
